Alpine Meadows

Alpine Meadows is one of the best ski areas around.  It is well known for its great terrain and high base elevation and typically boasts more snow pack than most other ski resorts at Tahoe.  It is situated approximately 8 miles from Tahoe City off Highway 89 and the Truckee River corridor.  There are many residential neighborhoods along the drive up from the Truckee River and you can view what is available right here!

On a personal note, I have skied Alpine Meadows since 1960 and more than any other Tahoe ski area.  It has always been my favorite.  You will see a lot of smiles at the base of this incredible mountain, like the one seen here of my son on Christmas Eve 2012!
